A Fun Way to Teach Children Gratitude

Take time during an evening meal to have each family member say what he or she was especially grateful for that day. Once everyone has had a turn, find out more. Ask your children questions such as the ones below and encourage them to ask you these types of questions, too. Be prepared to delight in the wisdom and insights of your children!

What made this so special for you?

How do you feel inside when you are grateful for something?

How does feeling gratititude make you wnat to help someone no so fortunate?

Do you think you will feel grateful for this at another time? Why or why not?
